The above application has been presented to the Meridian City
Council. Judy Fessenden and I (Robert Morrison) are Residents at
Touchmark(TM) and believe the Council has been misinformed by
comments made about future development of the remaining TM
site. We and a significant number of residents strongly feel this
application should be sent back to the Plan Commission for further
review based on Resident Comments, now that Residents are
more fully informed of proposed development.
Many of us made our decision to live our "senior" lives at this
Touchmark facility based on the understanding that this would
remain a 55 and above community with attractive "green space",
little if any commercial incursion, and serene surroundings. Come
and visit Touchmark to personally view the property and you will
experience what we based our decisions upon.
Other Residents have clearly stated the items we object to in the
proposed plan -- NOW THAT WE HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE OF
ITS CONTENTS.
We would advocate H-2025-0012 being sent back to the Plan
Commission with Residents comments now properly presented.
