HomeMy WebLinkAboutSigned Petions for Pathways CPA To: Meridian City Clerk Re: Proposed Pathway Network along Nine Mile Creek Dear Sir: We attended the Planning and Zoning meeting on March 14th with the Parks and Recreation Department and also met with Matt Ellsworth on Monday, March 26th concerning the proposed pathway network along the Nine Mile Creek. It was recommended that we inform the Parks and Recreation Committee at their meeting on April 5, 2007 of our concerns, and acquire the signatures and address of any others who also oppose this plan. Attached are the signatures and addresses of those property owners who oppose this phase of the pathway along the Nine Mile Creek. We request that these petitions be presented at the meeting on April 5, 2007 and entered in as a part of the public record. Thank you. RECEIVED APR 04 2007 Daen' OrM[RIDIA~J CITY CLERK OFFICE Signature ~~aJJ+J) ,~> We the undersigned strongly oppose the present proposed Pathway Network along Nine Mile Creek/Canal. With the maintenance road, fence, pathway, landscaped area and another fence, it would extend not only into our private property but into our actual homes and, we are strongly opposed to losing 30 to 50 feet of our-property. The presence of pedestrians, joggers, dog walkers, lights along the pathway, etc., right next to our homes, will completely take away any privacy we are entitled to and currently enjoy. We are also very concerned about the noise, possibilities of vandalism and any waste left behind by humans or animals, contributing to our loss of a safe, private and sanitary neighborhood. It would also bring an end to the habitat of the wildlife that lives in and along this Creek. It is our reauest that this proposed phase of the Pathway Network alonQ Nine Mile Creek be permanentlv removed. ADDRESS ~ 0'11.. /1/ L.,7/1M.... l--,,/- /111 Y f ~/, .,~ ...
