We are making our VOICE heard for the next City Council Meeting on AUG 12th : Please VOTE NO on the issue of IN- N- OUT, building a site at the corner of TEN Mile and Lost Rapids Drive, Meridian. Make sure each of you checks out the TRAFFIC congestion which currently exists INTO and OUT of this area. It is a Mess, which Meridian Council never dreamed of, that allowed multiple businesses to be land locked into a small area. Our major points are as follows: 1. There are Multiple Sites in Northwest Meridan with space, east access into / out , which are SAFE for a HIgh Volume of customers, wanting to enjoy a burger rather than an ACCIDENT. 2. The Corner of Ten Mile and Lost Rapids: This already bears a HIGH Volume of Traffic: Costco , Mormon Church, and NOW Fast Eddie's,. 3. Each one of you must take a ROAD TRIP to this corner and check out whether it makes sense to Wait in LINE for a Burger and be SAFE getting back HOME? Your decision should based on Reason, Community Input , and Safety for Meridian Thank you , Dick n Jane Carlton 1 Charlene Way From:Dave Miles Sent:Thursday, August 7, 2025 3:35 PM To:Jane Carlton; Clerks Comment; citycouncil; Mayor Office Feedback Subject:RE: VOTE No - OPPOSED Attachments:RE: VOTE No - OPPOSED Dick and Jane, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts about the proposed project. I see the Clerk’s o?ice has also responded and updated you that the hearing will be requested to be continued to Sept. 9, 2025 due to a notice posting issue. Your email has also been received by the Mayor’s O?ice. Because this project is part of an open application, the Mayor and City Council members are prohibited from commenting outside of the public hearing process. That said, we take public feedback seriously and want you to know that we have received your email and have read your comments. Your email will be included in the project public record. As you may be aware, the City does not determine which food service or business locates at a property, the City regulates the land use of various properties while businesses decide to locate at given sites or areas based on market conditions. We invite you to check the City’s website, meridiancity.org for any upcoming public hearing notices and additional information regarding the development. I have also copied the Planning Department if you have additional questions on hearings, or should that date change. Sincerely, Dave Miles | Chief of Staff City of Meridian | Mayor’s Office 33 E.
