I am unable to attend the upcoming meeting to review the new proposal by In-n-Out to
build a restaurant near Ten Mile Rd and Chinden in Meridian.
I live within a mile or so of that location and am fully aware of the impact it may temporarily
have on the area. As I’ve stated before, why give a permit to Burger King or the chicken joint
in the same area only because they don’t generate traffic. We shouldn’t penalize a business
for being successful; and why are they successful? Because they produce a quality product
people want. Besides, as In-n-Out expand throughout the Treasure Valley, we have already
seen traffic at their Village location diminish to a reasonable level. The novelty of offering the
first restaurant in Idaho has begun to wear off.
I’d add my voice to others who think the Council/Board should approve this revised
proposal. Give them the permit!
