Meridian City Council,
I am wri?ng as a homeowner in the Bainbridge subdivision and a frequent traveler at the intersec?on of W.
Lost Rapids and Ten Mile. This intersec?on and the en?re stretch of Ten Mile from Lost Rapids to Chinden is
already full of congested traffic. It is a hazard to try and make a turn anywhere into the Costco shopping area
and frequently backs up traffic through lights and intersec?ons. I can not imagine how much more hazardous
it will become with the addi?on of another drive thru that generates so much traffic. The access road inside
the Costco complex is even worse. None of this is a surprise to you I am sure as you also probably travel this
part of town. As a resident who needs to drive these roads every day for work, school and shopping WE ARE
OPPOSED TO THE ADDITION OF IN N OUT.
We hope you will s?ck with your original ruling of denial and remain purposeful in your management of
growth in our great city of Meridian. I am not a “not in my back yard” kind of ci?zen and hold firmly to
individual property rights and free enterprise, however we have planning and zoning to ensure that chaos
does not ensue, and that our city grows in a way we can all enjoy, feel safe in, and be proud of.
Thank you for your though?ul considera?on on this topic.

Russ and Tanya,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts about the proposed project. Your email has been received by
the Mayor’s O?ice. Because this project is part of an open application, the Mayor and City Council members are
prohibited from commenting outside of the public hearing process. That said, we take public feedback seriously
and want you to know that we have received your email and have read your comments.
Your email has been forwarded to our City Clerk and will be included in the project public record. As you may be
aware, the City does not determine which food service or business locates at a property, the City regulates the
land use of various properties while businesses decide to locate at given sites or areas based on market
conditions. This project’s City Council public hearing is currently scheduled for Aug. 12. Additionally, we invite
you to check the City’s website, meridiancity.org for any upcoming public hearing notices and additional
information regarding the development. I have also copied the Planning Department if you have additional
questions on hearings, or should that date change.
Sincerely,
Dave Miles | Chief of Staff
