Thank you for the opportunity to express my grave concerns regarding the impact of allowing In & Out
Burger to build a location at the intersection of Ten Mile Rd. and Lost Rapids Drive. We moved into the
Bainbridge neighborhood last July and experience a high volume of traffic at this particular intersection
on a regular basis. My husband has Parkinson's Disease along with a number of other illnesses and I
have to drive him to physicians and medical facilities on a weekly basis. We have encountered
significant traffic at this intersection, which is especially heavy after 4:00 pm. So many customers of
Costco and the multiple other businesses in this shopping area use Lost Rapids as their regular
route. Having a fast food restaurant with a huge capacity at the drive through window and huge parking
lot will make this area impossible to navigate. The left turn lane from Ten Mile onto Lost Rapids is very
short and traffic is already forced to occupy the left lane of Ten Mile waiting for overflow traffic from the
turn lane to make a left turn. This restaurant would create complete chaos for the people that live and
shop in this area of Meridian. As a taxpayer I strongly urge you to consider the lack of adjacent roads and
insufficient travel lanes on Ten Mile and vote no to the proposal of allowing this fast food restaurant at
this location. There are too many drive through restaurants already in the Costco area! There is so much
available land for this restaurant to build on that will not impact neighborhoods, schools and other
businesses so greatly.
Thank you for your consideration.

Good afternoon Andrea,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts about the proposed project. Your email has been received by
our office. As you may be aware, the City does not determine which food service or business locates at a property,
the City regulates the land use of various properties while businesses decide to locate at given sites or areas
based on market conditions.
Because this project is part of an open application, the Mayor and City Council members are prohibited from
commenting outside of the public hearing. We take public feedback seriously and want you to know that we have
received your email and have read your comments.
Your email has been received by our City Clerk and included in the public record. We invite you to check the City’s
website, meridiancity.org for any upcoming public hearing notices and additional information regarding the
development.
Thank you,
