BE IT OR.1lAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
i-MpIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:-
SEDTION1: That the following sums of money, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, are hereby appropriated out of any
money in the City Treasury of the City of Meridian, Ada County,
Idaho, not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of defraying
any and all necessary expenses and liabilities for the said City
of Meridian to be uicurred for general municipal purposes for the
fiscal year comencing the 1st day of May, 1961, and ending the
30th day of April, 1962, said plarpose being as follows, to-wit;

Water Works Maintenance------------------- ------ 17,800.00
Power and Pumping-------------------------------- 2,100.00

S-CTION 2. The amount of money derived from funds or sources
crca,tcd by law for the specified purposes in this Ordinance pro-
vided is hereby appropriated for such purposes and no other.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Meridian is hereby
authorized upon presentation of proper vouchers approved by the
Mayor and @ity Council of tho said City of Meridian, as provided by
law, to draw his warrant on the funds above stated and against the
appropriations as made in the preceding sections of this Ordinance,
in favor of the parties entitled thereto.
SECTION 4. That, this Ordinance be, and the same is hcrc)�y
designated as tiTHE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION BILL OF TIIE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, \'OR TIE FISCAL YEAR OF 1961--1962"., -
SF,CTIOV 5. WHTIT:]AS, there is an emergency therefor, which - --
onergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect _
and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publica-
tion as required by law.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE I!AYQR A1D CI Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF
VERIDIAN, ADA COUNITY, IDAHO:-
SECTION 1. That there be, and there is hereby levied upon all
the taxable property- within the corporate limits of the City of
Meridian, Ada. County, Idaho, which i5 taxable by law for State,
County, and I'Iunlcipal purposes, the following annual taxes for the
purpose of raising revanue to defray the necessary expenses and
liabilities to be incurred in the City of Wridian, Ada County,
Idaho, for the fiscal year commencing on May 1, 1961 and ending
April, 30, 1962, for the following purposee, to-wit:
1. An annual tax of Twenty Balls on the Dollar for general
municipal, purposes of the said City of Meridian.
2. An annual tax of Five Hills on the Dollar for the purpose
of oiling and maintaining streets.
3. An annual tax. of Two Mills on the Dollar for the purpose
of maintaining a Municipal Fire Department.
4. An annual tax of One Mill on the Dollar for the purpose
of maintaining a Free Public Library.
5. An annual tax of Two Yi1.I5 on the Dollar for the purpose
of providing for and regulating recreational. programs.
SECTION 2. That a certified copy of this Ordinance shall be
by the City Clerk of the said Cit,7 of Mcridian, certified to the
County Tax Collector and to the County Auditor of Ada County, Idaho.
SECTION 3. T^BIR,AS, There is an, emergency therefor, which
emergency is hereby declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take
effect and he in force and effent f'rnm and after its passage,

SECTION 1. That Section 2-40i Revised and Compiled Ordinances
of the City of Meridian, be and thy same is hereby amended by
adding a new paragraph thereto des" noted a s paragraph C to read
as follows:

C. The zoning map of said city is hereby amended
_. so that the following described area is designated
as a HCH or Coi:imercial Zone:
All of Block 6 of Bourse's 3rd Addition and from
F,aot First Street Uist to a line equidisLa& between
East First Street and I:eridian Street; and from East
First Street East to a line equidistant between East
First Street and A Street; and on the ;youth to a
line coinciding with a line running h1st and West
and bisecting lot 4 of TTourcefa 3rd Addition.
SECTION 2. That the city zoning map is hereby changed to
conform to the provisions of this ordinance.
SECTIOM 3. WN?REAS, there is an emergency therefor, which
emergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publica.-
ticn as required by law.
Passed by the City Coudil and approved by the Mayor of the
City of Jeridian, Ada County, Idaho, this 10th day of July, 1961. -
