Gen tlemen:
At the request of the City Clerk, this proposal is submitted for
audit of the books and records of the City of Meridian under the
following terms and conditions:
1. Period to be audited - Calendar Year 1965
2. The audit will be performed in accordance with laws and
regulations of the State of Idaho as they apply to
Municipalities and to Certified Public Accountants, and
will also be in accordance with the Uniform bpecifications
for Audits of Cities and Villages of th:: State of Idaho as
adopted by the Bureau of Public Accounts, December 1, 1956,
and will include all items specified in the Minimum hequire-
ments but will not include the Optional Provisions,
3. It is expected that preliminary work can be begun on the
audit in December 1965, be completed in January and February
1966, and the report submitted by about March 31, 1966.
4. The books and records of the City shall be completed,
balanced and prepared for audit by January 31, 1966.
5. The fee for performing the audit will be at the rate of
635.00 per day. It is estimated that the total fee will be
about 6350.00. If, however, the books and records are not
in order, errors are so numerous as to render the records
unreliable, or defalcations are found, additional time would
be required to perform the audit and the fee would be corres-
pondingly larger.
6. If the work is assigned to me, I shall personally perform the
audit, assisted at times by members of my staff. My qualifica-
tions include Idaho C.P.A. certificate No. 263, dated August
25, 1961, and eight years of experience as a public accountant.
Very truly yours,
