Dear Mrs. Zennedy:
You are the legal title holder of certain real property
located at 322 East Idaho Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, and which
is legally described as follows:
Lot 16 and the :hest 20 Peet of Lot 17, Block 6,
Meridian Rowan' s Addition, Ada County, Idaho.
As a result of numerous complaints, the above described
premises were inspected by the County Health Department, the
local Fire Chief and the local Works Superintendent. As a
result of these Inspections, the City Council has concluded
that these premises constitute a threat to public health and
safety and are definitely a public nuisance.
The following are some of the deficiencies causing this
house to be a hazard to the neighborhood:
1. The Windows are broken out.
2. The chimney flue consists of a steel stove pipe
extending through a roof jack and if used, would
be an extreme fire hazard.
3. The building is unlocked and easily entered with
windows broken allowing easy access.
4. The floors show definite indications of dry rot
with several holes.
5. There is a cellar under the house that stands in
water creating odors.
6. The cellar way is covered by a slab door that has
collapsed and would allow children or anyone to
fall several feet into a stairway pit and into water.
7. There is no way to lock the house to prevent children
or transients from entering.
8. The general condithn constitutes a fire hazard as
well as making it a filthy and unhealthy place for
children to play.

This building is in close proximity to other buildings
in the neighborhood and represents a fire hazard to the
surrounding neighborhood. It also constitutes what in law is
referred to as an "attractive nuisance" to children.
At this time, pursuant to Idaho Code, Section 50-601,
you are hereby notified by the City of Meridian, that at their
monthly Council Meeting to be held at the City Hall, Meridian,
Idaho, on September 13, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. , the City Council
of the City of Meridian will consider if these premises consti-
tute a nuisance to safety and health. Further, whether the
said building is susceptible to being repaired and maintained
by the owner in such a manner as to prevent it from being a
further nuisance. If it is determined that it is not feasible
for this building 'Go be repaired, then the Council will declare
the building to be a nuisance and order its destruction, the
cost of which will be levied as a special assessment on the land
against you, the title holder.
You are invited to attend the above referred hearing and
offer argument or proof why the building should not be destroyed
at your expense or why you think the building can be satisfactorily
repaired. We sincerely hope that you will either attend this
meeting or make some arrangement to be represented.
Yours very truly,
