As a result of numerous complaints, the above described premises were inspected by the County Health Department, the local Fire Chief and the local Works Superintendent. As a result of these Inspections, the City Council has concluded that these premises constitute a threat to public health and safety and are definitely a public nuisance. The following are some of the deficiencies causing this house to be a hazard to the neighborhood: 1. The Windows are broken out. 2. The chimney flue consists of a steel stove pipe extending through a roof jack and if used, would be an extreme fire hazard. 3. The building is unlocked and easily entered with windows broken allowing easy access. 4. The floors show definite indications of dry rot with several holes. 5. There is a cellar under the house that stands in water creating odors. 6. The cellar way is covered by a slab door that has collapsed and would allow children or anyone to fall several feet into a stairway pit and into water. 7. There is no way to lock the house to prevent children or transients from entering. 8. The general condithn constitutes a fire hazard as well as making it a filthy and unhealthy place for children to play. AMBROSE & CHILD GRANT L. AMBRO5E ATTORNEYS AND COUNSELORS TELEPHONE JOHN I_.
