Motion was made by W. D. Skiver and seco ded by John Navarro that $300.00 be transfered

ORDINANCE NO. 140
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY,
IDAHO, FROM TWO YEARS TO FOUR YEARS COMMENCING ',KITH THE TERM OF OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
ELECTED AT THE NEXT GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION AFTER THIS ORDINANCE BECOMES EFFECTIVE
AND PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF ALL PRE-EXISTING ORDINANCES WHICH ARE IN CONFLICT
HERETO.
WHEREAS, The term of the Mayor of the City of Meridian is two years, and;
WHEREAS, Mayor and the Council of the City of Meridian are desirous of providing
by Ordinance for the term of office of the Mayor to be extended from two to four years.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 73 OF THE SESSION LAWS PASSED AT THE
38TH SESSION OF THE STATE LEGISLATURE, 1965:
Section 1. That the term of the Mayor of the City of Meridian, Ada County, be
extended from the term of two years to the terra of four years commencing with the term
of office of the Mayor elected at the next general municipal election after this Ordi-
nance becomes effective and thereafter.
Secticr. Z. That all ordinances in effect which may be inconsistent or,_in'_con-
flict with; the provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended to comply herewith: -
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in furl force and effect from and af-t*.r ts;Y-
passage, approval and publication as required by law.

ORDINANCE NO. 141
AMENDING SECTION 1-1101 OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
MERTDIAN AND ORDINANCE NO. 110, DIALING WITH TH-4 SALARTES OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE C-ITY OF MERIDIAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA
COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Section 1-1101 of the Revised and Compiled Ordinances of
the City of Meridian, Idaho, and Ordinance No. 110, shall be amended to provide
as follows:
1-1101: SALARIES OF ELECTIVE OFFICERS: The salary of the Mayor shall be
$200.00 per month, payable monthly.
The salary of each member of the Council shall be $50.00 per month, pay-
able monthly.

Property

Dear Mayor Storey:
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 requires that all organi-
zations otherwise eligible to acquire and utilize Federal surplus property
must sign an Assurance of Compliance in accordance with applicable Office
of Civil Defense Regulations.
All political entities of Ada County-Boise are required to sign OCD
Form 856, as orders for surplus property cannot be approved unless the
executed copy is on file in the Idaho State Office of Disaster Relief and
Civil Defense.
For your convenience, I have prepared the documents so that they will
require only your signature and date. A self-addressed envelope is also
included. Please forward two copies of Form 856 as indicated above. One
copy is to be retained for your files.
