quested sewer line information
Disc ssion was held conce ning the la ing of the sewer line in and for this
sub ivisi n, mainly concerning the laying f the line to the lift station.
The Mayor stated that the City could �ot act at this time till Our consulting
En 'veer, Sumner Johnson, can be con acted in this matter.
There is also a drainage ditch that slould be moved along he Harrold Dexter
property from about 4th Street and to the east along Washing on, �rvilleVincent
was instr cted to see what could be done a out moving this in a i
der to put the center

Geor a Gregory asked concErning the p acing of dips in West 8th.1 StreeL to slow
dowi the traffic for safety purposes by re using the speed. Being near the School
it 's feared this street from Cherry Lane I I Zoad to Pine Could re ult in a speedway.
The patter of Lot 10 in the Welkter Su division, where Carl on been dedicated
for a 60 �oot roadway was disc4sed.` This lot is about 100 fee by 80 feet and would
leave a strip about 40 feet on one side and taper down to nearly a point.
It w s decided to look this area over in the next few days and dome to some

Ada County.
Willard Rowley, representing the Sani ary Service, came be ore the Council to
req est am increase of fees for—trash haul ng services in Meridian. The proposal
was for a flat increase of 150 per pick up over the whole town area.
The resent contract contains a clause of renegotiation every tuo years, The
May r stated that more time should b6 allo ed to study this mat er, on the asis of
15¢ each pick up or some other arran ement that would yield an qual amount, The
new charg s would be $1.45 and '$1.95.

present a cost estimate of imprloveme#its in order for a surety bond to be placed to

It was suggested that Mr. Toothnan, the Engineer for this sfubdiv lion, be noti-
fied of the request by Lynn Rog rs, �oneing and Planning Engineer for Ada County.
A re uest for franchise for tel visio cable TV within the City f Meridian was
read by the Mayor from Station TVB, Inc., represented by Moffatt, Thomas, Barrett,
and Blanton of Boise.

4TH STREET LYING BETWEEN BLOCKS J AND 8 OF THE PLAT OF €
COTTAGE HOME ADDITION TO MERIDIAN, IDAHO. II
NOTICE is hereby given that a hearing will be held on the
7th day of June, 1965, at 8 : 00 o ' clock P.M. , at the City Hall
upon the proposed vacation of the following described platted
property:
That portion of East 4th Street lying between Blocks 7
and 8 of the plat of Cottage Home Addition to Meridian,
Idaho, as it runs from the Southerly boundary line of
Carlton Avenue (Carleton Street) to the Northerly
boundary line extended of the alley in said Blocks 7
and 8 of Cottage Home Addition.
All interested persons are notified that they have up to and
including June 7 , 1965, within which to make known their objections
to the vacation of said portion of said street by filing said
objections with the Clerk of the City of Meridian, City Hall,
Meridian Idaho.
