Public Hearing for Dayspring Subdivision (H-2024-0070) by Engineering Solutions, LLP., located at South
side of W. Ustick Rd., 1/4 mile East of N. McDermott Rd.
I do not know if comment is closed, but I wish to point out the following for approval of this project:
1. Why put a police and fire station out between McDermott and Star road if growth wasn't
projected? This project will be closer served than the rest of Meridan; why place these stations in
the middle of nowhere if growth is not anticipated?
2. Why approve a High School out there if there is not projected growth?
3. Why is growth prioritized down McMillan when there is no access to the new Hwy 16 expressway
and not Usick where there will be access?
4. There is a new sewer line being put down Ustick from close ot 10 mile to Black Cat... Wouldn't it
have been cheaper and shorter route to simply extend this down to McMillan? But in this case,
you have a developer willing to eat the cost of helping to extend sewer to this project... The
number of others that will benefit from this...
5. A church was approved last meeting with multiple issues based on the growth of moralistic value
for the city... I overheard a conversation where there is multiple churches in this area that are
planned...
6. There is a 15 year projection of long-term growth... This is not an overnight growth... Leading to a
slower impact.
