Additional automation has been created to improve the process. The correct number of school-aged children is 642 (not 1,156). This number is calculated by looking at the number of entitled units (836 single-family and 264 multi-family) within the last 5 years and within a 1-mile radius of the project location. The intent of looking at cumulative impacts on schools is to forecast the number of school-aged children, enrolled in both public and private schools, using city-wide American Community Survey census data. Forecasted Students Based on Entitlements N 700 to Ln N 600 500 400 N N 300 00 N Ln N 00 W 200 100 Elementary Middle High Total ■Total Students Public Private Student Generation Rate Additionally, for clarification purposes, the calculation of school-aged children remains the same at approximately 202. However, Student Generation Rates are calculated in reference to the designated elementary school within the subject property's associated Development Area Zone, also referred to as a school attendance area, not the elementary school alone. Approval of the project is estimated to result in 202 school aged children that would be enrolled in all West Ada school grade levels and not grades K through 5 only. Staff apologizes for the errors and has proposed changes to the template and process to help prevent this in the future.
