To Whom It May Concern,
Planning and Zoning Department,
Meridian City Hall,
comment@meridiancity.org
I am writing to express my deep concern and strong opposition to the proposed Daysprings Development
(H-2024-0070) in our community. As a resident of the affected area, I find the potential impacts of this
project on our neighborhood to be unacceptable, and I urge the Planning and Zoning Department to
reconsider its approval and address the significant issues this development will create.
First and foremost, the notice acknowledges the increased traffic this development will bring, particularly
through the already congested Talamore and O’Connor areas. Our streets are not equipped to handle
such a dramatic influx of vehicles, which will inevitably lead to gridlock, longer commute times, and
heightened safety risks for pedestrians, cyclists, and families. I demand a comprehensive traffic study
and a concrete plan to manage the inevitable strain on our infrastructure before any further steps are
taken.
Additionally, the scale of this “huge development” is deeply troubling. There is no clear explanation of
how the city plans to preserve the character and quality of life in our neighborhood. Increased density
will likely lead to overcrowding, strain on local resources such as schools and utilities, and a decline in
the peaceful environment that makes this area a desirable place to live. I am particularly concerned about
the lack of transparency regarding what measures will be taken to minimize disruption to existing
residents?
While I appreciate the call for community input, the timing and format of the June 5th, 6 PM meeting at
City Hall raise additional concerns. Many residents, including myself, may find it difficult to attend due to
work or family commitments. This limited opportunity for engagement feels like a token gesture rather
than a genuine effort to involve the community in a decision that will profoundly affect our lives. I
strongly request that additional meetings be scheduled at varied times, and that virtual attendance
options be provided to ensure broader participation.
Residents should not be made to feel that their worries are trivial or that opposing this development is
futile. We deserve to have our voices heard and our concerns addressed with actionable solutions, not
platitudes.
I urge the Planning and Zoning Department to halt the Daysprings Development until a thorough impact
assessment is conducted, including detailed plans for traffic management, infrastructure improvements,
and preservation of our neighborhood’s character. Furthermore, I request that the city engage in more
meaningful dialogue with residents, providing clear, detailed information about the project and ensuring
that our input is not only heard but acted upon.

I expect a written response to this complaint outlining the steps the city will take to address these issues.
I will also be following up on this matter and look forward to seeing how the Planning and Zoning
Department prioritizes the well-being of its residents over unchecked development.
Sincerely,
Raymond T Vizzone
