Kimberlee,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts about the proposed project. Your email has been received by
our office. As you may be aware, the City does not determine which food service or business locates at a property,
the City regulates the land use of various properties while businesses decide to locate at given sites or areas
based on market conditions. That said, I know traffic patterns were a major part of the Planning & Zoning hearing
discussion, and I appreciate your comments and sharing your concerns and we will make sure it is added to the
public record and that Council is aware of your feedback.
Because there is an open application for this project, the Mayor and Council are prohibited from conversations
unless on the official record in a public meeting. I understand that the appeal for this application will be scheduled
for a City Council meeting later in the year. I have copied the Current Planning division manager and the City Clerk
so that they can add your comments and email to the public record, and provide you any updated information
about the date of the appeal hearing.

Subject: In & Out on Ten Mile
Message: Good Morning - I have been following the conversation related to the In & Out proposed on the
Ten Mile location. I see they are appealing your denial of adding the restaurant to that location and I am
asking that you continue to deny the store at that location. Don't get me wrong, I'm like most and enjoy In
& Out from time to time, but our city and valley are becoming so commercialized and we have an In & Out

in Meridian. We don't need two and for sure not in that location. The other INO location is a commercial
location, not near neighborhoods and seems reasonable to be part of the Village and extended shopping
areas.
I shop frequently at that Costco and the traffic alone with the businesses already in that plaza is
challenging and frustrating. If I lived in one of those neighborhoods within that area I'd be very upset and
frustrated if the restaurant was put into that space. There is already several fast food restaurants in that
location and I hope you continue to support the denial of the In & Out in that location and look for
another business that would have a much smaller traffic and noise impact. I just think that our
neighborhoods have to be managed and keep neighborhoods as neighborhoods, particularly when there
are already food options in that location.
I do understand that our city will grow and change; however, if we can keep our spaces with the traffic
spread out and managed it would be appreciate.
