Meridian City Council,
I am a resident of the Woodbridge community and live at 728 S. Woodhaven Ave. My
home will be adjacent to the proposed new subdivision. I am writing to express my concern
regarding the fence line that will connect our two housing communities. Planning and zoning
asked the potential builder to work with the 15 homeowners of Woodbridge to decide a
plan for the shared fence line. Based on an original survey performed when the original
fence was placed, the fence is not on the correct property line. The residents did reach out
to the builder and owner without success at coordinating a meeting regarding the future
fence prior to the council meeting. To my knowledge, a new survey has yet to be
performed. They are aware that property lines could potentially change. My question for the
council is, what guarantee do we as Woodbridge residence have once this project passes
regarding this fence? Please consider that nothing is in writing and nothing has been
discussed. Also, if this builder backs out, can a new one come in and change everything
being done on this lot, as long as it’s still 79 houses but maybe not as nice? Thanks in
advance for considering this information before you pass this to move forward with building.
Sincerely,
Robin McCulley
