Applications: time extension
Request: eight month time extension to record the final plat for Secret Garden Subdivision. The
final plat consists of 6 singlewfamily residential building lots, 1 commercial office building lot,
and 1 common area lot on approximately 1 acre in the R-8 and L-O zones. The applicant states
that all that is left is to submit water and sewer easements along with shared parking cross-access
easements, and to finalize the CC&R's that are currently in final draft form.
The City of Meridian's Unified Development Code (UDC 11 w6B-7C) allows the Director to
authorize a single extension of time to record the final plat, not to exceed 18 months, when the
applicant files a written request for an extension prior to the expiration of the plat. Additional
time extensions up to 18 months as determined and approved by the City Council may be
granted.
The final plat was approved by Council on January 4, 2005. In 2006, the applicant applied for,
and the Planning Director granted, a one year time extension to record the final plat which
expired on January 4, 2007. NOTE: As required by the UDC, the applicant submitted the subject
time extension request prior to the above-mentioned expiration date.
Staff Recommendation: approve.
