I’m writing to oppose In-N-Out purchasing the location at Lost Rapids Drive and Ten Mile
Road.
The traffic flow in this area is already very congested with Costco, Heroes Park and the
church. Adding the very popular In-N-Out to this location would further add to the
congestion and traffic backing up on both Ten Mile and Lost Rapids. One need only look at
the two previous In-N-Out locations in this area to see that this location here in Meridian is not
suitable. Both of the locations at the Village and Boise Town Square have a large staging
area to allow for traffic backing up and long lines of drive-thru customers. This location has
nothing comparable. In-N-out’s traffics flow study is very flawed as three days in December
is not a good representation of the traffic in this area for the majority of the year.
Also, having a business that stays open to 2am would negatively affect the nearby
neighborhoods with increased traffic, lights and noise very late into the night.
It would seem there are other suitable opportunities at Orchard Park and near Scheels that
would not present the traffic flow or residential issues that this location presents.
