Planning and Zoning Commission:
I object to the proposed location of a new IN-N-Out Burger at Lost Rapids and Ten Mile. This area already
has significant traffic issues due to the popular Costco and other out-pad retailers. In addition, This
already is a very congested area has also been impacted by the traffic viasco with Rock Harbor Church.
We reside one mile away from Chinden and Ten Mile and our busiest 'cut through' traffic days through
our small 18 unit subdivision was magnified when Costco was sited at Chinden and Ten Mile.
The Planning Commission's duty is to assess the impact of these new developments, especially to the
local surrounding area, which includes the neighborhoods. We are and will continue to be
inundated with high traffic volumes which includes unlawful 'cut through' traffic - please don't continue
to pile on to the existing neighborhoods.
Also having commercial activity open until 1:30am in this location is unthinkable. We the residents
don't want to be ignored any longer, please do your duty and protect the surrounding
residential communities. There are hundreds of other likely retailers that would be a better fit for this
property. You can't possibly believe that having two of the largest auto dominated retailers in the same
neighborhood shopping center is a good thing !!
Like others have said before me - near I-84 would be a much better location for all. There are existing pad
sites near Scheels, which are much more appropriate for the high traffic draw for IN-N-Out.
