Please, absolutely NO, do NOT allow this location to be zoned and sold for IO new location.
For all the reasons listed below. Meridian has not been prepared over the last two decades,
for the growth that has been allowed to ruin our home! The infrastructure is broken and we
are begging you to stop cramming these corporations into every available square inch. It’s
so bad, it’s difficult to get anywhere, at any time of the day anymore. The roads are
congested, the stores are congested, the tempers are flared and it’s become a mini
California here. We did not ask for this. I will be dropping my Costco membership and I guess
I’ll list my home for another California resident to have. We don’t appreciate the fact that
Idaho’s city fathers have allowed our home to be taken over and completely overrun by a
culture that is greedy, entertainment and materialism driven. The people may be nice, but
hey don’t know w anything other than that garbage culture they have brought with them.
Thank you,
Marcy Moore

In-N-Out Burger - Planning Commission Meeting Tomorrow Night (4/17) We’ve got an
URGENT ask for each of you regarding the In-And-Out at Lost Rapids & Ten Mile. First: PLEASE
send an e-mail to \[Comment@MeridianCity.org\](mailto:Comment@MeridianCity.org) voicing
your concerns about this specific In-And-Out location. Include your name and street address
so that your feedback is noted as a voter in Meridian. You can also call to record a
comment at
208-288-5607
. The major concerns are summarized below.
1. I&O being open past midnight (until 2 AM is the ask) will inundate nearby homes with
constant NOISE, LIGHTS and TRAFFIC. Additionally, it will open the door for Costco to again
petition the City to allow semitruck deliveries to Costco along Tree Farm and Lost Rapids past
the current 10 PM cutoff.
1
2.The ‘customer flow’ information that I&O provided is flawed. It compares our
neighborhood area with 10 California-based locations—NONE of them in residential or semi-
residential areas.
3. The ‘traffic study’ that I&O paid for and provided is similarly flawed. It looks only at the Ten
Mile / Lost Rapids intersection on 3 days in early December. It does not consider the various
choke points with the accident-prone entrance north of the intersection, does not consider
the Chinden-Lost Rapids traffic, and does not include the weekly event traffic for 8 months
out of the year for Hero’s Park or the 60+ vehicles for 4-days-a-week parked at Keith Bird Park
and along Lost Rapids. It does not consider the Adero Park subdivision that will be presented
in May that will add 270-homes between Bainbridge & Walmart.
We only need to oppose THIS specific location, and our personal likes / dislikes of their menu
is irrelevant.
ALSO plan to attend the Planning & Zoning meeting on THURSDAY, April 17, at 6:00 PM to
show your support for our concerns. There will be residents from several nearby
neighborhoods as well. Make your opinion known with appropriate applause and, if you
wish, by speaking for 3 minutes. The meeting will be at Meridian City Hall, 33 E Broadway Ave,
in downtown Meridian.
To clarify: In-And-Out does NOT own this location. They are asking Meridian Planning &
Zoning to approve their request to purchase with exceptions to existing City laws and zoning.
The City can deny this requested location, order a City-sponsored traffic analysis, or approve
the request with conditions.
