Comments for the P and Z Committee Meeting April 17
1) In N Out Burger would be a disaster in the making with the proposed location of Lost Rapids and 10
Mile Road. That corner is already beyond busy with Costco and other businesses have an entrance
there.
2) An "E" rating for a traffic study is not an acceptable level of traffic for that corner. With the addition of
In N Out Burger and other coming businesses in the Costco footprint, the traffic will very quickly be up to
an "F" rating.
3) The lot in question is too small to accommodate the ridiculous amount of cars that will be at In N Out.
It will easily spill out onto the road going north into Costco's parking lot. In N Out has a cult-like following
who will have no problem just sitting in line blocking the road. I've seen this before at Dutch Bros stores
as well. But, this is going to happen and it's unacceptable.
4) I am not against In N Out Burger as a whole. I just think they should position this store closer south on
10 Mile near I-84 or maybe out on Hwy 20=26 at Hwy 16. These locations have more room to allow
for vehicle traffic.
Above all, I know there are a great number of people who do NOT want this restaurant at this location. I
really hope you will listen to them. People are feeling like the City of Meridian does not care about the
citizens and continue to approve applications that are "turning Meridian into Anaheim" (Not my
quote), Meridian has been a lovely city and the past few years is quickly growing into a MESS with traffic
(and non-existent traffic enforcement) and large numbers of people everywhere.
The 10 Mile and Lost Rapids location already has plenty of fast food restaurants! Why not go further
south? Lots of neighborhoods in south Meridian have no shopping and no restaurants for thousands of
people.
Please show people you care by not approving this application.
