Greetings:
My wife and I are extremely concerned about the possible approval of an In-N-Out Burger at Lost Rapids
and Ten Mile.
The hours being open, past midnight, will be extremely disruptive because of the noise, lights and
traffic. It will also encourage Costco to petition again to allow semi-truck deliveries past the current
closing time of 10:00 p.m. This will obviously increase the noise, lights and traffic.
It's been pointed out to us that the "customer flow" information that In-N-Out Burger provided is
incorrect. Apparently it compares our residential neighborhood area with ten (10) California locations, of
which none of them is residential or semi-residential.
The "traffic study" that they provided is also incorrect. It says that the Ten Mile-Lost Rapids intersection
does not have a problem with the Chinden-LostRapids traffic, which is considerable already, and they
only did the study for 3 days in December. There is no consideration for the Baweekly event traffic for 8
months of the year for Hero's Park or the 60+ vehicles for the 4-days-weekly parked at Keith Bird Park and
along Lost Rapids. It also does not consider the upcoming building of Adero Park subdivision that will be
presented in May. This will add 270 homes between Bainbridge and Walmart.
This location is completely wrong for a commercial enterprise like In-N-Out Burger. The continuing
excess traffic at the Village location is testament to that, and that's a commercial location. This location
doesn't even have enough room for an adequately-sized parking lot. The traffic is completely excessive
for this location and should not be approved.
Thank you,
