Subject:Opposition to In-N-Out on Ten Mile and Lost Rapids
External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments.
I am writing to express my concern and disagreement with allowing In-N-Out Burger to occupy the space
on Ten Mile and Lost Rapids.
The intersection at Lost Rapids and Ten Mile is already congested with the traffic from Costco and
surrounding businesses as well as many events at Hero's Park and Keith Bird Park. I have personally
witnessed 2 accidents there and have heard of several more. I believe the "yield on green" and blinking
yellow turn signals contribute to the crashes.
There are also many accidents at the Costco entrance off of Ten Mile between Chinden and Lost Rapids.
I have seen incidents of road rage from people who are unwilling to wait for those who are attempting to
be cautious in this area where there is no signal.
Adding an In-N-Out would make this already nerve-wracking stretch of road even more impossible to
navigate due to longs lines for In-N-Out -- not to mention creating blockages when attempting to enter
and exit the Costco business park as well as the church located directly across the street.
This location is also very close to residential areas including the Olivia Apartments as well as the
Bainbridge neighborhood. The noise, lights, and traffic created by In-N-Out's extended hours would be
extremely disruptive.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter,
Becky Hopkins
