Subject:In-And-Out Burger proposed site at Lost Rapids and Ten Mile Road in Meridian
External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments.
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing in opposition to a proposed In-And-Out Burger application at the Ten Mile and
Lost Rapids intersection in Meridian.
This location is far too small and far too busy to accommodate this establishment. The
intersection already handles most of the traffic to the nearby Costco as well as access to the
Bainbridge subdivision where we live. As witnessed with other In-And-Out locations, the traffic
will back up into the intersection and cause traffic flow issues on Ten Mile road. The traffic
flow projection presented with this proposal does not take into account how busy Ten Mile
road is already and the backup of traffic from the Ten Mile and Chinden light.
In addition to the vehicle traffic concerns, this is a residential neighborhood and we are
worried that the constantly high traffic at this intersection will endanger families and children
who use Hero Park from our neighborhood. The traffic study was not done during the summer
when Hero Park is busy.
We are happy that In-And-Out Burger wants to put a location in Meridian but there are so
many better locations that will have more room and not be in a residential neighborhood.
We respectfully ask that you deny the proposal request for this specific location.
