City of Meridian, My name is Maryann Streeter and I live at 5764 N Joy Ave, Meridian, ID 83646. I have lived in Idaho for well over 30 years and at this address since August of 2018. I am writing to express my strongest opposition to allowing In-N-Out Burger at Ten Mile and Lost Rapids in Meridian. Tree Farm and Lost Rapids are currently a speedway cut through for traffic off of Chinden to Ten Mile and vice versa. Cars and trucks are often at speeds far in excess of the current speed limit making walking and bike riding dangerous. With people trying to get to In-N-Out this will only increase the amount of traffic on these roads. In watching the In-N-Out on Fairview at The Village, I've seen massive amounts of cars in line for the drive-through as well as enormous numbers of cars looking for parking for walk-in service. The small site at Ten Mile and Lost Rapids, even to my unprofessional eye, can not accommodate that number of vehicles. What road will accommodate this pile up of cars? Entering and exiting for Costco is already a dangerous proposition and adding to the confusion with more traffic is a disaster waiting to unfold. Bainbridge and Cadence started out as neighborhoods. Friendly, people and family oriented neighborhoods with school bus stops, parks with activities along Lost Rapids and reasonable amounts of traffic. This neighborhood has been upended by Costco, the Costco gas station and the traffic that flies through on Lost Rapids from Chinden to Ten Mile. I am vehemently opposed to allowing In-N-Out to further upend our neighborhood. There are many other nearby locations that have bigger sites, far less housing in proximity to the site and better traffic flow. Why should we allow for exceptions to existing City laws and zoning requirements? Please take into consideration the families that live here first before companies from outside of Idaho do their best to change our beautiful city and state. Please take into consideration all of the above as well as all of the other information that has been gathered including the following: Increased Noise Increased Lights Increased Traffic on Tree Farm and Lost Rapids as well as poor traffic flow Disturbance and increased traffic to Keith Bird Park activities Disturbance and increased traffic to Hero's Park activities Thank you for your consideration. 1 Maryann Streeter 5764 N Joy Avenue Meridian, Idaho 83646 2
