Hi,
I’m Michael Gulden and I live near where the
In-And-Out at Lost Rapids & Ten Mile is asking to build.
Michael Gulden
5772 N Calcutta Ave, Meridian, ID 83646
The traffic light at that intersection and whole makeup of the roads are not built for a high traffic place like in-and-
out.
Half of the time, when I turn left off ten mile to go home, the turn lane is fully backed up and blocks the left lane to
go straight. The island prevents more cars from stacking into the turn lane, the light doesn’t allow for enough cars to
turn left as it is with no popular restaurant.
Something would need to change so that traffic would flow better or the build location for in-and-out would need to
move closer to Winco or something. There’s lots of space over there and it would be more accessible.
I also don’t approve of big trucks delivering things past 10pm.
If they are going to do that, they can choose a different location where it’s not going to bother people.
If the in-and-out ended up being built with the current infrastructure, that turn lane would be swamped on a normal
day and completely unusable on a busy day. I would have to drive through a maze of neighborhoods to get home
instead of using the direct route to my house because that direct route off 10 Mile would be blocked.
They should choose a location up the road a bit by winco and still get plenty of customers there. That location is
built for handling larger amounts of traffic.
