Greetings, As the current Vice President of the Bainbridge HOA I am writing to voice my concerns about the proposed In & Out Restaurant near Costco on Ten Mile Rd. I feel I speak for the vast majority of Bainbridge residents in saying I don't think this is a good location for such a project. While I understand and support growth in our city and particularly In & Outs' desire to expand, I feel it needs to be done wisely and with utmost care for the residents that live nearby and the commuters that travel the roads and highways near this site. From Ten Mile Road, W Lost Rapids Drive travels west and becomes N Tree Farm Way which intersects with Chinden Blvd/US 26. I don't consider this road a thoroughfare; It is at best a residential feeder. No dotted lines, non-existent shoulders, several cross streets and substantial pedestrian traffic involving children and pets as Keith Bird Park is located along this street. The increased traffic between Ten Mile and Black Cat through Bainbridge streets will be unsustainable and a hazard to the many children that live and play here. With the proposed 2:00 A.M. closing time the increase in lights, noise, traffic and even semi truck deliveries will be extremely disruptive to several surrounding subdivisions, primarily the 570+ homeowners that live (and vote) in the Bainbridge Community. I strongly encourage In & Out to reconsider their location choice and endeavor to build in an area nearby that is more friendly to the huge increase in vehicle traffic. In closing I vehemently but respectfully ask the Planning and Zoning staff to deny this application. As I've said before, for me it's all about kids and cars. Let's do the right thing.
