Dear Meridian Planning & Zoning,
I am a resident of Meridian living in Bainbridge.
I am writing to strongly oppose the proposed In-N-Out Burger at the corner of Ten Mile and Lost Rapids.
This location is simply not appropriate for a 2 AM drive-thru. I beg you—please do not approve this plan.
Like most families in our neighborhood, we have very YOUNG children. The increase in traffic, lights, and
late-night noise poses SERIOUS concerns for their SAFTEY and wellbeing. The already-busy streets are
difficult enough to navigate with strollers and bikes during the day—adding a high-volume drive-thru
open into the early morning hours only makes things more DANGEROUS and disruptive for our kids and
families.
In-N-Out’s data does not reflect the unique traffic patterns and residential density in our area. Their
customer flow and traffic study are based on incomparable locations and an inadequate sampling period.
The reality on the ground is much different, especially with existing events at Hero’s Park, Keith Bird
Park, and the growing population with developments like Adero Park.
This is not an anti-business or anti-In-N-Out message. Many of us enjoy their food. But this location, in the
middle of a residential zone, is simply the wrong fit. There are better-suited commercial corridors less
than a mile away that wouldn’t come at the expense of neighborhood peace and SAFTEY.
Please listen to the people who live here. We’re asking you to protect our community and deny this
proposal—or, at the very least, demand a comprehensive, unbiased traffic study before moving forward.
Sincerely,
Ashley Heary
