Mayor and City Council Members:
At the January 23,2007 meeting of the Meridian City Council, Portico Place Subdivision was
denied approval. This letter is a request to the City Council for reconsideration of the above
applications based on the following new information:
1 - The elevations of the homes are being redrawn to create a better visual appeaL See attached.
2 - The request for direct access from the existing house to McMillan Road is hereby withdrawn.
3 - The Alternative Compliance is being altered to a request for a 30 foot wide landscape buffer
instead of a 25 foot wide buffer. This would only be a five foot variance and would still meet the
City's set-back requirements for the existing house. Extra plantings over-and-above the required
would be 44 additional shrubs and three additional trees.
4 - The approval ofthis subdivision will allow an orderly and systematic development of this area
of McMillan Road. Ifthis application is approved it will place the public road in approximately the
middle of the undeveloped land in this section of McMillan Road.
Based on this information Portico, LLC request a reconsideration and approval of Portico Place
Subdivision and the applications of Annexation and Zoning AZ-06-052 and Preliminary Plat PP-
06-053
