Dear Meridian City Planning and Zoning Commission Members,
I am a resident of the Bainbridge housing development that is across the street
and down .2 of a mile from the driveway on Lost Rapids Drive that would take
you into the Costco shopping center area. I have lived in my home on W Wolf
Rapids Drive for 4 1/2 years and during that time have seen tra?ic dramatically
increase with the building of Costco and the Olivia Apartments and
Townhomes. This is the same area where In-N-Out Burger is seeking to build
their next location. As I am leaving my neighborhood to turn east onto Lost
Rapids Drive I often see a line of cars waiting to come out of the parking lot
area of Costco to turn onto Lost Rapids Drive. At times there is even a line
waiting to turn into the parking lot from Lost Rapids Drive. Tra?ic entering
said parking lot area o? of Ten Mile helps to create this back up also. During
Holiday times or peak shopping times the tra?ic gets much worse and lines
are longer.
I am a fan of In-N-Out Burger, but the additional tra?ic that would be caused at
this specific location would be unacceptable. The other areas in the Treasure
Valley where In-N-Out has selected to put their stores are in shopping areas
and not so close to residential housing.
Please do not issue them the permit they seek.
The project I am writing to you about is: H-2024-0058 In-N-Out
Burger at Ten Mile – CUP
Thank you for taking my concern about this important matter seriously,
1
