Your email has been received by the office, and we will make sure to share it with the Mayor and Council. Because there is an open application for this project, the Mayor and Council are prohibited from conversations unless on the official record in the public forum. That terminology and process can be confusing sometimes, so I am happy to chat with you if you have additional questions and/or get you to appropriate planning staff. I understand that the application for this project is next heard at the Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 6:00pm. As you may be aware, the City does not determine which food service or business locates at a property, the City regulates the land use of various properties and businesses decide to locate at given sites or areas based on market conditions. That said, we take public feedback seriously and want you to know that we have received your email and have read your comments regarding the traffic concerns. I appreciate your comments and have copied the City Clerk so that they can add your comments and email to the public record. I have also copied the City Planning Manager, Bill Parsons, in case you have additional questions better suited for him, and so this record can also be added to the project file. The primary entrance from Lost Rapids to that area is already a problem with traffic congestion and vehicles making dangerous lefts out of the commercial area onto Lost Rapids to get to Ten Mile. An In- And-Out in that location would result in even worse traffic, if not outright backups onto Ten Mile. There are bus stops nearby as well. There is just not enough room for the drive through at that location. There is plenty of room literally a block south by Walmart, or slightly further east near Winco. The proposed location is already congested and In-And-Out at that location will make it even worse. Thanks for your consideration, Mary Beth Anderson 2
