Website: www.meridiancity.org 2 September 21, 2006 City of Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission 660 East Watertower Lane, Suite 202 Meridian, Idaho 83642 Re; Locust Grove Storm Water Detention Facility- Franklin to Fairview Dear Commission Members, We are respectfully requesting the annexation and rezone of a 2.00 acre parcel located off of Locust Grove approximately 844+/-feet south of Fairview Avenue. Currendy the property is within the county and is zoned RUT. We are requesting that the property be annexed and rezoned to an L-O zoning. Currendy the property consists of uninhabited and dilapidated residential structures. After approval of this application, we intend to build an ACHD drainage facility that will store all storm water from Locust Grove between Franklin and Fairview. The entire perimeter of the project will be fenced. Additionally, a gravel maintenance road will circumvent the detention basin. Along Linder Road, a 30' landscape buffer will be implemented from the back of the proposed sidewalk. Where possible, existing trees will be protected and implemented into the landscape design. The remainder of the landscape buffer will consist of some lawn, new shade trees and evergreen trees, and a mix of ornamental shrubs. Thank you for your consideration of this application.
