Hi Bill,
I’m writing to you as a current resident of fairborne where we purchased our house in 2021.
We always expected the Brighton community to the west to be developed R8 which makes
sense. I was made aware of the recent request of Brighton to be rezoned TN-R which we are
100% against as that would literally surround us with rental communities since MC blackcat is
already on the other side of us.

Additionally the road capacity is already pretty tight with both a large rental community as
well as the church creating long backups periodically. It’s a bit unrelated but the lack of a
turning lane off Chinden to blackcat is rediculous. Westbound on chinden in the afternoon is
already a parking lot for everyone going from Meridian to star/caldwell/nampa.
Please include my comments in public testimony, as increasing the density beyond R8 would
be completely irresponsible and inappropriate for the area.
