The City of Meridian has requested feedback regarding an annexation and rezone from RUT(Rural
Urban Transition to I-L (Light Industrial) and C-G (General Retail and Service Commercial)
located at 1030 N Locust Grove Road and 1740 E Pine Avenue, specifically Parcel Nos.
S1108233755, S1108233850, S1108233950, S1108233995, and S1108233986, within the City's
Area of City Impact.
Ada County is supportive of the proposed annexation as it is compatible with Goal 2.2 of the Ada
County Comprehensive Plan, which encourages urban development be directed to Areas of City
Impact where investments in urban services have already been made.
The Future Land Use Map of the Meridian Comprehensive Plan, as adopted by Ada County,
designates the site as General Industrial, which allows a range of uses that support industrial and
commercial uses, such as warehouses, storage units, light manufacturing, flex, and incidental retail
and office uses. Therefore, the proposed I-L and C-G zoning districts are consistent with the
Meridian Comprehensive Plan, as adopted by Ada County.
