Cooper Lane to N. Cooper Avenue Dear Steven Taulbee, Ada County has requested that the City of Meridian change the name of N. Cooper Lane to N. Cooper Avenue. The Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on this request, on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., at Meridian City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Avenue, Meridian, Idaho. Background and historical information regarding this proposed street name change, as well as code sections applicable to the request and to the hearing process, is available by contacting Long-range Planning Supervisor Brian McClure via email at bmcclure@meridiancity.org or via phone at 208-884-5533. Within one-week of the scheduled public hearing, a staff memorandum with recommendation for the Planning and Zoning Commission will be available on the public record here: https://bit.ly/cooper-ln. At the hearing on January 16, 2025, the Commission will consider all written public testimony received prior to and at the hearing, comments and recommendations of City staff, comments of agencies including the Ada County Assessor and emergency responders, the impact of the proposed street name change on public safety including the accurate dispatch of emergency services, the date of the original dedication of the street, the number of existing addresses on the street, and any other factors the Commission may find to be pertinent to the requested street name change. Please provide comments on behalf of Meridian Fire Department regarding the proposed street name change. Written materials may be submitted to the City Clerk prior to the hearing via email to comment@meridiancity.org or via mail to 33 E. Broadway Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, 83642. All testimony and materials presented shall become property of the City of Meridian. Please note that while the Ada County Highway District has already posted a street sign reading “N.
