HomeMy WebLinkAboutTask Order No. 1 with Civil Survey Consultants, Inc. for Utility Projects in conjunction with ACHD TASK ORDER NO.1 CITY OF MERIDIAN (OWNER) AND CIVIL SURVEY CONSULTANTS INC. (ENGINEER) This Task Order is issued by Owner and accepted by the Engineer pursuant to the mutual promises, covenants and conditions contained in the Agreement between the above named parties dated November 14, 2006. CITY OF MERIDIAN UTILITY PROJECTS IN CONJUNCTION WITH ACHD PROJECTS PURPOSE The Engineer's scope of services, time of completion and compensation shall be as set forth herein. Services shall generally be describes as Engineering Consulting Services per the Engineer's proposal dated 11/1/06. TASK 1.1 - PLAN REVIEW / CONSULTATION Per the City's request, Engineer will review various Ada County Highway District roadway improvement projects and identify all existing City of Meridian potable water and sanitary sewer facilities that need to adjusted or relocated. Engineer will prepare bid item notes and special provisions for the identified items and provide the notes and special provisions to ACHD to be included on their plans. A separate plan set will not be prepared by Civil Survey Consultants. Design review will be performed by the Engineer, and written comments provided to the City, upon receipt of a review set of construction plans, special provisions, and bid schedule, prepared for the project by ACHD. All required work to adjust any facility at existing irrigation crossings will be performed under ACHD's crossing agreement with the Irrigation District. The Owner will provide all available information, prepare and execute all construction contract documents, and provide construction administration including full time construction observation. Engineer will be available to answer questions prior to the bid opening and during construction. Engineer will perform field surveys and obtain title reports as needed to prepare any easement descriptions and exhibits that are necessary to relocate existing utilities. Engineer will mail a copy of the easement description and exhibit to each property owner, along with any required easement forms for execution. Engineer assumes that this project is for the behalf of the property owner and as such the necessary easements will be granted for no cost. If a property owner requests payment for an easement Engineer will forward that request to the City for approval. TIME OF COMPLETION Engineering services will be completed on an as needed basis and time of completion will be set as services are requested. COMPENSATION The Not-To-Exceed amount for this Task Order NO.1 is twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00). The hourly rate for services and direct expenses is attached (Prevailing Fee Schedule Effective October 1, 2006) and by this reference made a part hereof.
