NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Ordinances of the City of Meridian
and the Laws of the State of Idaho, that the City Council of the City of Meridian will hold
a public hearing at the Meridian City Hall, 33 East Idaho Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, at the
hour of 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, for proposed ordinance
amendments to include updating procedures, new fees and fee increases for dog
licensing;
The proposed dog license fee changes are as follows:
License for: Old Fee New Fee
Non-neutered male dogs: $15.00 $21.00
Non-spayed female dogs: $15.00 $21.00
Neutered or spayed dogs: $7.50 $16.00
Vicious Dogs: (new fee) $100.00
Senior Citizen Reduced Fee $5.00 deleted
Lost Tag Replacement Fee $5.00 $5.00
Exceptions to fee requirement - guide dogs such as seeing eye or hearing
dogs or a dog in training as such; and dogs owned by public entities.
More information on the above public hearing item, and the ordinance in its
entirety is on file in the City Clerk's office at Meridian City Hall, 33 East Idaho Avenue,
and is available for inspection during regular business hours, Monday through Friday,
from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Any and all interested persons shall be heard at said public hearing, and the
public is welcome and invited to submit testimony. Oral testimony may be limited to
three (3) minutes per person. Written materials should be submitted to the City Clerk no
later than seven (7) days prior to the above hearing date so that all interested parties
may examine them prior to the hearing. All materials presented at public meetings shall
become property of the City of Meridian. Anyone desiring accommodation for
