Ada County is supportive of the proposed annexation as it is compatible with Goal 2.2 of the Ada County Comprehensive Plan, which encourages urban development be directed to Areas of City Impact where investments in urban services have already been made. The Future Land Use Map of the Meridian Comprehensive Plan, as adopted by Ada County, designates the site as Mixed-Use Regional, which is intended to provide a mix of employment, retail, residential dwellings, and public uses near major arterial intersections. As the site is located within one-half mile of the Eagle Road interchange and the proposed rezone is for C- G, which includes service commercial uses and the area includes commercial uses to the east and south and residential to the north and west, the application is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan.
