Leer in support of Timber Creek This is Tony & Jeanie Mayer. We have a home at 7850 Gearhard Ln, Meridian that is located approx. ¼ mile directly to the West of the Timber Creek Recycling opera)on. We aended the last hearing And at that )me we were opposed to Timber Creeks requested Modifica)ons. However, this past week we visited the site and were given a tour of the opera)on and we must say we are very impressed and encouraged by what we saw. They indicated that they discon)nued the concrete grinding aspect of their opera)on and have also made significant strides to remove odors that possibly escape from their compost opera)on. We believe that they are trying their best to be good ci)zens, to listen to the public and to make whatever changes that they can to reduce any conflicts of complaints. It is now our posi)on that we SUPPORT the Timber Creek opera)on and their requested )meframe extension. This company is definitely an asset to Ada County and to surrounding areas as they sa)sfy a requirement that will be very difficult to find sa)sfactory alterna)ves or replacement. You can try to shut them down, but doing so will simply transfer the problem to elsewhere which the county will have to deal with. Timber Creek’s opera)on is responsible for removal of thousands of Tons of waste material that would normally end up in our already overburden landfill’s, and recycling this material into an environmentally friendly product that can and is reused by the public for Landscape needs and many land Beau)fica)on efforts. This company has been around for over a decade and their recycling efforts have served our community very well and is an asset that should not be understated or overlooked. We believe that they need to be allowed to con)nue their highly beneficial opera)on as the benefits in our view vastly outnumber any perceived nega)ves.
