Hello, I received some information about a project that has gone before Planning and Zoning and been turned down, yet is being presented again before the City Council November 6th. I've lived in Meridian/Boise all of my life (66 years). Having grown up here, I've seen Eagle Rd go from a two lane country road to a major highway. I currently live in the Movado neighborhood off Overland. The traffic congestion is unbelievable at times just trying to just get out of the neighborhood. Then you drive up to the Eagle and Overland intersection and you can see the traffic backed up past the freeway in both directions. This happens multiple times a day. There’s another apartment project near completion off Overland and Locust Grove, that will impact the traffic on Overland. When I heard that another project was being considered right across the street from Movado, I had to say, PLEASE Stop! We currently have numerous townhouses and apartments around this area (that aren't even fully rented) and don't need any more! It’s making the area unsafe and overcrowded. Meridian was an area of open fields and few home sites and now it has been filled up with homes and apartments. Yet another housing project in an already crowded and congested traffic area doesn't need to happen. Let our city and state governments figure out how to resolve our traffic issues before we build any more! Growth has to managed by our city government. This project will not only impact the Movado neighborhood, but the Rolling Hills neighborhood. Please think of the people that are already living here and the impact on the current area. Just say "NO" Thank you Jackie Collins and Ed Garcia 2448 S Steichen Way Meridian, ID 208-989-1513 1
