Re: RZ-OS-010
Dear Mayor DeWeerd and Member of the Meridian City Council:
We have three issues with the conditions of approval proposed by the Staff
Report.
1. Section 10a. Analvsis. Paraaraph 3. Landscapino. We ask that the
landscaping between the Subject Property and the existing property to the
west be limited to 5 feet rather than the requested 10 feet. The Applicant
has occupied the property to the west for nearly 15 years. The building is
used primarily for office with storage in the back. There is not a
compatibility issue between the two properties.
2. Section 10a. 9th Bullet Point. The driveway between the Subject Propeny
and the property to the west may be eliminated and we ask that the cross
access easement not be required if the driveway is eliminated.
3. Section 10a. 10th Bullet Point. We ask that the construction of the
sidewalk on Eagle Road be deferred. No property on the west side of
Eagle Road between FaiNiew and Franklin Road has constructed a
sidewalk. We are In favor of a sidewalk in the future and are willing to
bond for the cost, but feel that any sidewalk installed at this time will not
provide any function and will ultimately be tom out and reconstructed. The
likelihood of installing the correct sidewalk section, in the correct location
and at the correct elevation prior to the completion of plans for the Eagle
Road improvement is next to impossible.
Thank you for your consideration.
