Dear Planning and Zoning Committee, (This is an update to my previous letter as I mistakenly listed Ten Mile Rd as the location of Compass Charter School when it should be Black Cat Rd). Please vote no on changing the zoning to High Density Residential at the corner of Franklin and Ten Mile in Meridian. Our infrastructure already can't handle all the housing developments and apartment complexes that have been built. The growth in Meridian is totally out of control! Ada County has to be the worst in the nation as far as building houses and apartments prior to building roads that can actually handle the traffic. One example is Compass Charter school on Black Cat. It should never have been built before widening Black Cat Rd and now it is a nightmare when the kids are coming to and from school. I loved Meridian when I moved here almost 30 years ago but it has changed so much and the traffic is terrible! We also have the biggest school district in the state and there are never enough schools. This will also probably affect our property taxes and not to mention wildlife in the area. Pretty soon there will be no farmers or hunting grounds for birds of prey and other animals. So please start putting an end to this insane growth in Meridian and stop the greedy developers like CBH Homes who are destroying our way of life and the habitat for wildlife! Sincerely, David Wright-Meridian, ID 1
