I'm not sure how long comments are kept that are submitted. I submitted this in July but added to it. Thank you!
To Whom It May Concern,
PLEASE do not approve any more apartment complexes over on Ten Mile Road. We live on Pine
between Ten Mile and Black Cat and are already dealing with the opening of Pine all the way through
and the new apartment complexes being put on that road. We moved to the far west of Merdian 8
years ago as it was quieter out here versus how busy Eagle Road and Boise are. What is being
proposed takes away Merdian's home town feel and will turn it into a hectic city. Ten Mile is already
feeling too busy with all of the businesses currently going in by the freeway exit and traffic is awful at
anytime of the day at Ten Mile. It's tough to merge in off the freeway and it's always backed up at the
Cherry/Ten Mile light.
Meridian also cannot support that influx of people in regards to the school system and parks. The
residents of Meridian should not have to be burdened by the cost of building these facilities because
builders want to put extra money in their pockets by putting up apartment buildings.
And really, who wants to drive by Meridian on the freeway and a huge amount of apartments and
businesses are all that Merdian represents. That's not who we are. Please keep us to family friendly
single family home neighborhoods on west Merdian.
