Dear Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission,
I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed Pivot Pointe Subdivision, I believe that the development, as
currently planned, will have a negative impact on the surrounding community and is not sustainable in its current form.
Firstly, the area in question cannot support any more high-density subdivisions. The schools serving this area are
already at or above capacity. Adding a significant number of new homes would overwhelm the already strained
educational resources, diminishing the quality of education for our children.
Furthermore, traffic in this part of Meridian is already a serious issue. Roads are congested, and with the influx of
residents from the Pivot Pointe Subdivision, the problem will only worsen. This will not only create more frustration for
existing residents but could also lead to safety concerns due to increased traffic volumes on roads that were not
designed to handle such density.
Additionally, Fuller park is already overcrowded and cannot sustain a major increase in population. It is one of the few
green spaces available to residents, and adding more homes will further diminish its ability to serve as a recreational
area for families and individuals.
Finally, the proposed number of homes for the site is simply too many. The density of the development would lead to
overcrowding and a decrease in the quality of life for both current and future residents. For these reasons, I respectfully
urge you to reconsider the approval of the Pivot Pointe Subdivision in its current form. The long-term impact on our
community’s schools, traffic, and recreational facilities must be carefully considered. Thank you for your time and
attention to this important matter. I hope the Commission will take the concerns of local residents into account.
Sincerely, Natalie Purcell
