Dear Members of the Meridian City Council,
I am writing on behalf of the Nampa Chamber of Commerce to express our support
for Timber Creek Recycling, owned by Mike Murgoitio, in his pursuit of a site permit
extension within the city of Meridian. As a valued member of our Chamber and an
important contributor to the local economy, Timber Creek Recycling has
demonstrated a commitment to environmental sustainability and community
engagement in its operations.
We understand there has been some neighborhood concern regarding the site, but it
is important to acknowledge the essential role businesses like Timber Creek
Recycling play in supporting the local economy, waste management, and resource
recycling efforts in the Treasure Valley. Recycling facilities provide critical services
that reduce landfill waste and promote the reuse of materials, benefiting both the
environment and the broader community.
Mike Murgoitio and his team have a proven track record of running responsible,
community-conscious businesses. They are dedicated to working with their
neighbors and local stakeholders to ensure that any concerns are addressed
thoughtfully.
We hope the City of Meridian will consider extending the permit for Timber Creek
Recycling, as their continued operation will bring long-term benefits to both
Meridian and the surrounding communities.
