It looks like he has come up with several instances where "Skyranch" has been used as a proper name, mostly associated with small private airports. Based on this I will have Frank put together an approval email and get that sent out a little later today. Our office will plan to do more in depth research on name submittals in the future.Also if you have specific examples of a proposed sub. name that have been used as proper name that you can included in your submittals, it would be greatly appreciated. But, I am tired of arguing with people about sub names. I have a client that is insistent that they want the Name "Skyranch"for a subdivision. Is there anything that we can do to get this approved? Using an internet search 'Skyranch' gets no responses and we would not consider it a proper name, it is therefore being denied as a subdivision name. 'Sky Ranch' is the return but the name 'Sky' has already been recorded and therefore it could also not be used. Please choose a different name.
