Dear Mayor and City Council,
I just received word that there will be a public hearing tonight in regards to the Shepherd's Creek
Development and the proposed Kodiak collector road. I am unable to attend tonight because of a
previous commitment, but wish to express my concerns in hopes that they will be heard.
We are recent residents to Meridian and the Bear Creek Subdivision. We moved here the 1 st of
September and are located on the south side of Cub S1. at 187 W. Cub S1. I am concerned about
being in the middle of two throughput roads. I would propose that a new street be installed south of
the new church location. It would service both the church and the new subdivision. It would not
create any contention with existing homeowners. I do not want to be surrounded by traffic on both
sides.
Upon selecting this house and location to move to, I was provided information that the space south of
my property was going to be church property with green space. If I had I<.nown about this debate, I
would not have pursued this location. We have spent time with friends in this neighborhood and
enjoyed the atmosphere and its surroundings. We were seeking a place that our family could call
home and grew for many years, a place of refuge, a place of peace, not a place located in the middle
of traffic. Please do not let me regret this move.
