Subject: Shepherds Creek Development
Hello,
We would like to voice our concern over the Shepherds Creek development that was approved on
September 21 by the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission. As home owners in the Bear Creek
Subdivision, I am concerned about the excessive density of the development (surrounding density average
of Bear Creek and Belissima Stradda is 2.5 homes/acre as opposed to the 8 homes/acre proposed by the
developer. This density will change the quality and type of homes within the immediate area of my home, which
could lead to a decline in my property value.
In addition, we are concerned about the increase in traffic through my neighborhood via the Kodiak Collector
Road. There are many children in our neighborhood, and the huge increase in traffic will be a danger to them.
Please help us keep the quality of life in our neighborhood high by not approving the proposed development and
the collector road.
