Dear Mayor deWeerd and Council,
I am writing to convey my concern and opposition to the proposed Kodiak Collector Road. A collector road that
will provide access to both Stoddard and Meridian roads should not be running through the middle of a
neighborhood. I live two houses away from where this road would make a 90 degree turn and I am extremely
concerned for the safety of my two young children as well as numerous other children in this area. This area has
many families with young children, the council should visit the proposed area at 4:00 pm and see the amount of
children. This proposed area was not designed to handle this large amount of traffic. The amount of homes per
acre is excessive for this area and the current system of roads and avenues will not safely provide access to this
large amount of homes. I ask the council to please honestly think about this impending problem and what it could
mean for this area of Meridian. Big developer dollars must not be the driving influence, the council ought to be
responsible to its citizens. I respectfully ask for your consideration in this matter.
