To The City Council Members of Meridian,
As a new arrival to the city of Meridian I was quite impressed with the friendliness, openness and honesty of the people
of the city. I thought that businesses in the area would act in a similar fashion. However, there is a business that we live
by that has shown none of those qualities Timber Creek Industrial site is no recycling center, They have never adressed
the odor that emanates from their facility, Their trucks make it difficult to travel on Locust Grove and Columbia. The
Plant creates large dust clouds while processing concrete, that is very toxic. Not once has a representative reached out
to the community to see if they could improve their operation. (Actually stated by their owner, how he would work with
the community.) It was suppose to be a temporary site in the first place. Now we see that they want to extend the lease
and expand its operation, to include toxic matter. Why would a city or business think about having an industrial site so
close to a park, school or housing? It make no sense, As city officials l implore you to halt the activities of this site. No
business should have the ability to adversely affect so many people.
Thank you for your time and service to the community.

Clancey,
Thank you for your comments regarding Timber Creek Recycling. I will be sure to forward your comments to the Mayor
and Council. As there is a public hearing scheduled, the Mayor and Council are prohibited from discussing the issue
outside of the public record which is done on the public record for the meeting agenda item. The item is currently
scheduled for a hearing on September 17, 2024 at 6pm. I have copied the City Clerk and Attorney so they can include
your comments in the public record file.
Sincerely,
Dave Miles | Chief of Staff
